Carling Gill

Carling, April 2004Peacefully at home, on Easter Sunday, April 11, 2004, Carling joined her angel friends to continue her journey.

Carling, age 8, experienced a lifetime of challenges through her rare Neurological Disorder (Late Infantile NCL) yet she taught all those who knew her how to approach life and illness with hope, an open mind and a positive attitude, determination, strength and grace.

Carling is survived by her brothers, Colton age 6 and Jarrett age 2, as well as her parents John Gill and Diane Wilson.  Grandparents Gisele Gill Niven, Ralph Niven, the late Victor Gill from Niagara Falls and Reg and Shirley Wilson of Australia, and the late Joan Wilson of Niagara Falls.

Visitations were held April 13-14th in Niagara Falls, and  Carling will be cremated.

Friends, colleagues and family gathered for a memorial service May 5th at Toronto's Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

As always, friends are asked to continue to think positive thoughts as you join Carling’s family in tribute to a remarkable young girl, who true to her name’s meaning lived life as “a little champion”!
